Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Munshiganj district unit has called a dawn-to-dusk general strike for today (Sunday) to protest the killing of local Juba Dal leader Akbar Hossain, allegedly by Awami Sramik League activists.
The district BNP ad-hoc committee was formed at the party’s office in the district on October 17.
Advocate Abdus Salam and Babul Ahmed of central committee were present at the meeting, while Shafi Bikrtampuri, Abdul Hye, Mijanur Rahman Sinha, Momin Ali, Abdul Quddus Dhiron and Mir Sharafat Ali Shapru were present.
